International Confex 2015

Last week Segway Events attended International Confex at Olympia London.  Confex is the annual conference for the Meetings Incentives Conferencing and Exhibition industry.  In short it is the biggest event in the events industry!  Fitting then that it took place this year in Olympia London, one of London’s most Iconic venues.  And what event would be complete without a fleet of Segways?

Confex this year boasted over 300 stands with exhibitors representing organisations like Mercedes Benz, Ministry of Sound and Liverpool Football Club.  The exhibitors were showcasing some amazing experiences and products such as Virtual Reality technology (including a ‘Digital Champagne’ spray which travels with F1 events), espionage training and Haka workshops in which participants recreate the All Blacks famous Maori war cry.  There was also a speech from Keynote speaker Clare Balding, who shared her experiences of working on some of the UK’s major sporting events and the talent that Britain has in delivering world class events.

Our Segway Events Team would have to work hard to stand out from the crowd at this vibrant and colourful event but standing out is what we do best.  Offering taster sessions on 2 of our shiny, new, off road ready Segway X2s our team soon had queues of people (and other exhibitors) lining up to take a turn on these amazing machines and learn all about our Corporate Event Packages.  These two Segways were from the 8 we recently purchased bringing our total fleet now to 58 machines!

The team had a great 2 days at the event and made a lot of new friends.  The Confex Organisers were impressed enough to invite us back next year when we will bring along a bigger team to show off everything the Big Bang family has to offer!
